Chinese Kite Festivals

Kites have been an important part of the Chinese culture for more than 2000 years, today the Chinese still very much embrace kites and kite flying. In 2006 the city of Weifang held a kite festival that drew hundreds if not thousands of kite enthusiasts. Weifang is enjoying tremendous growth with the rest of China right now, an overnight train from Beijing will have you arriving in the city of Weifang.
